SUMMARY:Sustainability Workshop: Cooking Using the Summer Glut
DESCRIPTION:Summer is a key season for garden production. But often there is more produce than we can handle at home. We can give it away\, freeze or preserve it\, or it gets thrown out. We want to increase food security and encourage growers to store their excess produce and eat it thorughout the year. So what can you do with it in the colder months? \nJoin local gardener\, home cook\, and founder of Bliss\, Jen Waddell\, for this insightful workshop. In this workshop you will learn how to use the summer glut in the dead of winter as Jen talks about things you cook and eat\, and home/beauty products you can make at home to save money and stay healthy. \nThis month we have a WINTER SPECIAL ticket price of just $5\, which include all materials for the workshop and morning tea. This workshop will be held INSIDE Timbertop Community Centre (not out in the garden) \nWorkshop Level: Beginner-Intermediate \nPlease note\, while kids are welcome to particpate with their parent/carer\, this workshop is aimed at adults.
