SUMMARY:Webinar - Summer pruning workshop
DESCRIPTION:Event description\n\nSummer pruning helps to maintain your tree’s shape and to keep it to a reasonable size for netting and harvesting\, it’s also a great time to prune stone fruit so they can heal while still in active growth and reduce the chances of disease! \nJoin us along with Scott Hitchins to learn the how’s and why’s of summer pruning of your stone fruit (peaches\, apricots\, plums etc) as well as apples\, pears\, quince\, figs  and more. \nWe will also touch on citrus and other fruiting trees that are pruned through the year. \n——- \n  \nPlease note that this is an event for Naarm/Melbourne gardeners only. If you live outside this area\, please contact your council to find out what free sustainable gardening events are available locally. \nIf you have any access or support questions or requirements in order to participate fully (eg. interpreter)\, please let us know at least two weeks prior to the event and we will be pleased to assist you. Photos will be taken at this event\, but there is an option to opt out on the day. \nThis My Smart Garden event is proudly presented by City of Stonnington on the land of Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung of the Kulin nation. My Smart Garden pays our respect to Elders past and present and acknowledges that First Nations peoples have cared for Country sustainably for tens of thousands of years.
