The Low Waste Kitchen: Reducing Food and Plastic Waste

July 9 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
Free

Join us this Plastic Free July for a practical and inspiring session on how to get more from your food, cut down on plastic and save money.

This workshop offers practical tips to help you turn what you already have into savings for your wallet and wins for the planet, all while cutting down on kitchen waste and reducing plastic use. Presented by sustainability educator, Kirsty Fox-Bishop.

We’ll explore:

  • How to reduce food waste and stretch your grocery budget
  • Creative ways to use up common leftovers
  • What food expiry dates really mean (and when to ignore them)
  • How to turn scraps into flavourful stocks and homemade vinegars
  • How to grow your own fresh sprouts — no garden required

You’ll walk away with a fresh perspective and a toolkit of ideas to help make your kitchen more efficient, less wasteful, and better for the planet.
